How To Make Cake Pops Or Lollicakes

There are so many different kind of cakes from your classic chocolate cake, to square ones..round shapes ones..there are also cake muffins from small to big! One kind fascinates me right now and that is cake pops or some call it lollicakes. 

 

What i like most about it is that you can put it in parties, it can be a table decorations, center piece or your give aways. That is why i love cake pops. I have seen different varieties of it that people make. I also have seen people do their own flavors of it..but what always fascinates me about

it is how they decorate and personalized it.

So i am sharing right now one easy recipe of a cake pope or a lollicakes.

Ingredients:

cake - this can either be baked by you, or you buy those store baked spongecake or a chiffon cake, in different flavor you like.

frosting or jam - this will be used as your binder

sprinkles of different kind

chocolate - bitter sweet or white chocolate

lollipop sticks

candy melts

styro foam for the stand

ribbons for decor

parchment paper and tray

 

Procedure:

First you have to crumble the cake, easiest way to do it it is to slice the whole cake into four, then you can rub each cake to easily crumble it. when it is already crumbled you may now put the frosting of any flavor you like that will compliment the cake, normally i would love to use a chocolate cake with a chocolate or vanilla frosting, for plain cakes you may use a jam for a different taste. You have to use your hand to blend the crumbled cake and the frosting, or you may use a stand mixer but i definitely would recommend your hand

to kneed it quite well and you will now if it will need more frosting or not. See the frosting here acts as the binder. 

when you see now that it is binded well, get small portions of the mixture and round it into balls. Set each ball in a parchment paper. After that melt the candy melt, but normally i use white chocolate or bitter sweet chocolate as candy melts are expensive here in my area. 

Get the lollipop stick, dip the tip of it in the candy melt or chocolate first, then after dipping stick in halfway to the balled cake, then put in the parchment papers. After doing this, you may put it in the refrigerator for a couple of minutes to set the lollipop stick in the balls. 

After that, get each lollicakes, dip it into the candy melts or chocolate and put it into the styro foam, or you may dip it first in the sprinkles to create different designs. Normally i love to use those star shaped sprinkles. You can also let the chocolate dry first then make your different designs. :) 

After designing each balls, you may wrap it in a celophane and close it  with ribbons and you may use it in parties or give them as gifts! yum!
